Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium

Located just minutes from the hotel, is the historic Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium. The Fairbanks Museum first opened its doors in 1889. The museum houses an amazing collection of natural history and science artifacts from around the world. Fairbanks Museum provides visitors with the ability to experience more than 75,000 specimens of natural science, 95,000 historical artifacts and 5000 ethnological items.
New exhibits and programs are introduced regularly and always provide visitors with a memorable visit. The Fairbanks Museum offer Vermont's only planetarium that is open to the general public. The Fairbanks Museum also is home to the "Eye on the Sky" weather program that is broadcasted daily on Vermont Public Radio. The "Nature Store", is a wonderful gift shop which allows visitors to bring home an interesting array of educational and fun gifts.
